On the second half of my trip in New Zealand I found myself exploring a huge second hand book shop. I stumbled upon Tana French’s Dublin Murder Squad series and accidently started with the second book, The Likeness. I ended up reading is in a day with it rained ALL DAY LONG so went back and got the first book. The series is set in Ireland so pairing the book with the Striped sipper tumblers and scotch seemed pretty appropriate. I’ve just started listening the the 3rd book now that I’m back in the studio and love that French writes each book from a different detectives viewpoint. They all work in the same department but in different capacities. Each one has their own personal history that coincides and colludes with the case the book is set around. These murder mystery books have an interesting depth to them that I haven’t experienced often. I highly recommend the series and it is older so could easily be found secondhand!
