My first romcom!! I picked this book up at the first, and definitely not the last, book exchange my friend Cat and I hosted at the studio. Another dear friend brought the book and said she enjoyed Henry’s writing so I took a chance as this genre has never been my go to but I can’t deny enjoying watching a romcom when I’ve hit max capacity and need to decompress. This book was a great decompression book and as my friend said, Henry is a very good author. The plot is simple and classic romcom, two book loving humans who hate each other and are rivals in work find that they are wickedly attracted to one another. The wittiness of the main character kept me giggling throughout and even though, like most romcoms, the book was quite predictable I enjoyed reading Book Lovers. I’d pair this light hearted read with a lovely mono print flower mug topped off with milkshake to keep it sweet.
