A dark fantasy fiction book with an emphasis on DARK. This book took me minute to get into. At the start I wanted more from the characters and felt like their storylines could have been a little deeper but by the middle I was in. The story follows a young woman who has been raised by her uncles. She discovers a hidden world of magic that her family is deeply tied to in the darkest of ways. As she tries to fight her families legacy she learns more and more about the secrets that have created and supported that magical world that underlies everyday happens. Although I wanted deeper character development I did enjoy this dark fantasy novel. I’d pair it with a Beaded Dreams Moonlit Mountain Mug topped off with a delicious latte maybe made in the coffee shop from the book.
