This book caught my eye because my dad had been raving about the TV show that recently came out based on the book. I figured if the TV series was that good the book was of course better! Well I haven’t seen the TV show but I certainly hope it’s better than the book for the reviews it’s been receiving. I thought the plot of the book was really interesting but the writing just dragged on. The story line is set inside an underground 100 story silo that is housing what is assumed to be the last of the human race. The air outside the silo is toxic and about once a year someone is condemned to go outside to clean the windows of the top story of the silo from the dust and grime. The is a lot of classism allegories in the book that are interesting. And that’s about all I have to say about the book. Ha! I’d sip some Mint Tea from a Dino mug with this book to spice it up a little for ya.
