I found this book at an independent book store in Santa Fe. I picked it up for my partner because he enjoys a good murder mystery, thriller and then I ended up sneaking it away from him and finishing it before he could. The premise is that a young girl kills two of her best friends while sleep walking and falls into a coma from the trauma of the experience. A psychologist is brought in to try to wake her up so that she can be officially prosecuted. Did she do it? If so WHY did she do it? The book got a little repetitive in the middle but the ending wrapped up with some pretty intriguing back stories. The title is a clever connection to Freud and the history of psychoanalysis. A dark thriller I’d pair this book with a Dark and Stormy in a moody mountain mono print tumbler.
